About Me
My complete name is Melissa Huan Mei Chen, but I prefer to go simply by Mei (pronounced May, not Me or Mea or My). Having just graduated from UCLA with a BS in computer science, I am currently trapped in a full time job at Lockheed Martin. By "trap", I simply mean that I have a one year contract with them, plus the fact that I am about to develope "cubicle-phobia", and oh, also 'cuz I am working at their Colorado Springs site, which is pretty different from Los Angeles, where I practically grew up. I say "practically" because I was actually born in China (yeah yeah, I am a commie, can't you tell by my color scheme here?), and didn't immigrate to the U.S. till I was eleven. Despite the fact that I had many fond memories of China (its people, culture and beautiful landscape), I consider my hometown to be Los Angeles. You just can't beat the vibrant nightlife and entertaining crowds that L.A. has.
Apart from my full time job, I am also currently pursuing a masters degree in computer science at the local university here at Colorado Springs. Classes will begin this January, 2004, so wish me luck that I'll stick with the program.
