Pharmaceutical:
A chemical introduced into a biological system in order to
supplement, alter, or inhibit
some biological process. Interchangeable with 'drug',
although
'pharmaceutical' is sometimes meant to imply a drug
taken for a legitimate medical need, whereas 'drug'
implies a recreational or illegal/abused drug.
