The best and fastest way to separate a liquid from solid is using a filtration. Important is that you adjust the size for the funnel to the amount of material to be isolated as a solid. It does not make a lot of sense to spread a minute amount of solid over a large area. See also vacuum filtration.

Another possibility would be to perform a distillation, but this usually takes more time and is only recommended if the precipitate is difficult to remove and the product is volatile.
