1. The reader and the exam reader are sold as a package at Course Reader Materials (1081 Westwood Blvd) starting on MArch 30, 2009.

Gloves, goggles and lab coats can be obtained from several sources e.g. Scrubbs Unlimited (10930 Weyburn Avenue), the chemistry fraternity AXS (YH1275, http://www.chem.ucla.edu/~AXE/store.html) or bookstore in the medical school. There are also several online source where these items can be purchased.

3. In addition, an organic textbook like "Brown and Foote, Organic Chemistry" will be necessary to read up on the theory behind the experiments. For lab techniques, Mohrig's "Techniques in Organic Chemistry" will be used as reference for the lab. Both books will be on reserve in the Powell library this quarter.
