1. Sample preparation: in a gc vial, dissolve 2 mg of the sample in ~1 mL of diethyl ether.

2. Label the vial: write your lab drawer # on the vial (on the white portion)

3. Place the vial in the correct sample holder position

4. From this point on the TA will do the rest.
