Procedure:
1. Log-on Process
User Name: jbruin (first initial, last name)
Password: 123456789 (your University ID number)
2. Start PC Spartan Plus program
3. go to File menu and select New (go to File menu and select new)
4. Select the Building mode icon,

When useing PC_Spartan there are two modes: |
5. Build structure and then minimize the structure by clicking the Minimize Structure Button (in the Build Menu)
6. Switch to the view mode by clicking on the view icon, 
. Experiment with rotating the molecule. This can be down doing a left button click and drag. [Try the following modifier keys: Shift, Control, Control-Shift, Alt; also, right click drag allows translation of molecule.]
7. Save the the file.
a) From the File menu select Save As…
b) Pull down the list at the top of the Save As dialogue box and select username on ‘dellsvr2\students’ (Z:)
c) You can choose My Documents and save your work there, or create new folders inside that one.
