30CL FINAL EXAM ANNOUNCEMENT PAGE
Winter 2016
ANNOUNCEMENT: FINAL EXAM - Thursday, March 17, 2016
at 8:00-11:00 m in YH 4216
- Use black or blue pen only (use of RED/PINK/GREEN ink will not be allowed).
- Write legible. If the grader cannot read your scribbles, he or she will not give you any credit. The same applies if the grader does not understand what you are trying to say because your response is full of spelling errors and improper terminology. There will be no discussion later on.
- There will be no regrade on the final (university policy).
- No tables for IR or NMR spectra will be provided in the exam. A periodic table will not be provided either because it is in the room. So make sure that you do not sit too far away from it in order to be able to read it. You are expected to know the masses of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, chlorine, bromine, etc.
- Bring your Student ID with you.
- Bring a ruler and non-graphing calculator (neither one will be provided during the exam and you cannot share them with your neighbor)
- Make sure to be on time. Absence in the exam will lead to an automatic "F"-grade for the course. If you are arrive late to the final exam (the reason does not matter), you will not
be granted any extra time.
- Bring your lab notebook with you to the exam because you will have to turn it in immediately AFTER exam. Late submission will not be accepted, which means that you will lose up to 20 points the very least.
Final Exam Question Policy
In fairness to the whole class, the instructor will not discuss during my office hours what will be covered on the exam or what you should expect to be on the exam or any other probing questions that would give an individual an unfair advantage over his fellow classmates. If you have a question submit it the course discussion board by
March 15, 2016 at 12 pm.
Review
The review for the final exam will take place in lecture during week 9 and week 10.
Office hours
The instructor will offer his regular office hours
during week 10 and on Monday and Tuesday of final's
week. Other than this, he will not be available due to exam writing and other administrative
activities.
