This the second time that this project will be offer in this course. So expect that there might be some adjustments that will be posted on the course discussion board. The procedure for the experiment can be found at the end of your reader.

The H-NMR and the C-NMR spectrum are located here. These spectra are considered experimental data and not literature data.

If you intend to perform the experiment, the prelab has to be submitted to the instructor by October 12, 2012 at 5 pm. The prelab questions can be found here. You will not be allowed to perform the experiment before your prelab has been approved (5 points). The experiment will be performed during your regular lab period.

The final report on the project is due in YH 3077 E by October 26, 2012 at 5 pm (15 points). Make sure to turn in the product and the cleaned vial as well then. If you do not turn them in, you will receive a 5-point deduction per incident.

The report has to be typed and submitted in a report cover to the instructor in YH 3077E. The report has also to also be submitted to turnitin.com (CourseID: 5704084, password: Chem30BL). Both are due by Friday, October 26, 2012 at 5 pm. If the report is not submitted online by the deadline, there will be an automatic zero score because the instructor will not grade it.
