My current research project involves resonance Raman, absorption and emission studies of various dinitrogen and nitrosyl bridged bimetallic compounds (Yttrium, Scandium, Dysprosium). Using the time-dependent theory of spectroscopy, spectra are analyzed to determine the vibrational surfaces along with their dimensionless deltas and the damping constant. This information, combined with molecular and orbital calculations, provide a complete picture of various transitions and vibrations that occur between the ground and excited states.
